The Dashwire Alternative
We’ve all found ourselves in this scenario: Our customer has a phone based on Windows Mobile 5, 6, or 6.1, yet they do not 1. Have or own a personal computer, 2. They don’t own a version of Outlook 2003 or 2007, 3. They have to download a trial version of Outlook or purchase the program, 4. Their computer is broken, 5. They haven’t downloaded Activesync, 6. They can’t find the Activesync CD-ROM, 7. They don’t have Internet to download Activesync from Microsoft.com, 8. The Activesync and Outlook downloads will take a while, or 9. Activesync is too complex for the customer. In these situations there is a free and user-friendly application that can replace Activesync/Outlook as a solution for backup the customer’s personal information from the phone. Enter Dashwire, a service that will backup or mirrors the content of the phone to the Dashwire website, www.dashwire.com from the computer, or m.dashwire.com from the mobile phone. It allows users to easily transfer this information from one phone to the next. Subscribers can also share their information from the website with other people. Setting up Dashwire is very simple. And, best of all, it’s free! The service takes 3 to 30 minutes to completely setup, depending on how much data the customer has to load to the website, the customer, the signal, and the 3G or EVDO speeds. The customer goes to m.dashwire.com from their mobile phone, signs up for an account, and then downloads the cab file to their main memory. The customer then selects the new icon from the program menu, logs in, and then presses the sync button in the bottom left hand corner. Contacts, text message history, photos, videos, voicemails, call logs, ringtones, bookmarks, & speed dials are uploaded to the customer’s private Dashwire web account and are configurable through the menu in the Dashwire application. It's a piece of cake. Yahoo: iphone 3g activesync The Dashwire Alternative iphone activesync outlook Google: iphone activesync outlook The Dashwire Alternative iphone 3g activesync |
